I broke down and joined Facebook, along with seventeen million other people. I was skeptical at first, but it’s really pretty fun seeing old friends and new turn up.

Facebook is all the rage in the high schools I teach at out here in Vancouver. I joined facebook just to see what all the fuss is about, but I can't quite see it. Like the 8 Track for my parents before me, this is the first technology that has made me feel not just older than my students, but of a different generation. I'm going go don my "I Heart ICQ" t-shirt and contemplate.
